Clifton Hill Costume and Textiles Launch Event - behind the scenes

We organised the launch event for Jen Ford of Clifton Hill Costume and Textiles and it was a huge success. The event was well attended and attracted a diverse and enthusiastic audience. I have never been to a catwalk where people gasp, cheer and clap outfits as they are modeled.

Here are some behind the scene photographs to paint a picture of the event.

Ali and I styled areas with era specific props from 1920s - 1980`s.

We will post some gorgeous photographs of our models in their era specific tableaux once post event publicity has been secured.

Emma Kitching worked with us as an intern and helped us to create the catwalk see her blog post here.

The event was supported by a wonderful team of hair and make up artists, here are a few photographs of them in action.

THE SHOP IS OPEN!

FANTASTIC NEWS - Clifton Hill Costume & Textiles is open for trading from today!  Go along to Lower Clifton Hill and have a look at the amazing clothes and textiles and you can buy tickets for the launch event there too.

I popped in last night and the shop is looking fab - the most beautiful vintage wooden closets and haberdashery stands filled with gorgeous vintage materials, hats, lace, jewellery - it's just a treasure trove of goodies.

Over the next couple of weeks Jen will be putting more on display but there are already so many goodies on show - go along and take a peek and I know you'll stay longer than you planned!

Directions:
Drive up Jacobs Wells Road and Lower Clifton Hill is the second turning on your left (near the top of the Hill).  You turn back on yourself up the hill and the shop is almost immediately on your right hand side, next to the Eldon Pub (highly recommended for a drink and great pub grub after your visit to the shop!)
